Meet Selena

I found this great nylon string guitar in Detroit that's named "Selena." I've never named a guitar before, but this one came with a name. It's painted right on her. Selena came from Detroit, MI, where she'd waited, overlooked in a music store for 7 years before Steve Garvey heard about her in a bar, and correctly guessed that she was the guitar for me.

I've always used a nylon string guitar to write songs. In fact, until a year ago, I'd written nearly all of them on the same guitar, one I'd had since I was 10. That guitar was stolen, bastards, when I was car jacked last winter. Now that I have Selena, I'm writing again, and also starting to play out.

Selena will debut this public Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Rock Stars (a tough name to live up to) at 8:00. I hope you'll come check it out.

It might sound like this.
